Privacy Policy

Click to Chat is a utility for starting a chat with a phone number without saving that number to your contacts. This policy explains what the app and this website do with information, in plain terms.

What stays on your device

The phone numbers you type, your recent numbers, favorites, labels and message templates are stored on your iPhone, inside the app. They are not uploaded to us and we cannot see them. Deleting the app removes them.

Contacts access

The app does not require access to your address book to open a chat. If a future feature asks for contacts access, iOS will prompt you and the feature will be optional; declining leaves the core function working.

Message content

Click to Chat does not send messages. It hands a chat link to the messaging app, which opens a conversation with your text pre-filled in its input field. Whatever you write and send is handled by that app under its own privacy policy, not ours.

This website

The link generator and QR code generator run entirely in your browser. The number and message you type are used to build a link or draw an image locally and are never transmitted to a server or stored.

Analytics

We collect aggregate, privacy-respecting usage statistics — which pages are visited and which buttons are pressed — to understand what people find useful. This data is not tied to your identity, and we do not build advertising profiles or sell data to anyone.

Purchases

Any purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymised sales reporting only.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because your numbers, favorites and templates never leave your device, you control them directly: edit or delete them in the app at any time. If you have a question about data we might hold, contact us through the support page.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page and, for material changes, note them in the app's release notes.
