WhatsApp Link Generator
Turn a phone number into a chat link, with an optional message already written. Everything happens in your browser — the number you type never leaves this page.
Your link
Enter a phone number to generate your link.
How to use the link
- Pick the country the number belongs to and type the local number.
- Add a message if you want the conversation to start with one.
- Copy the link, or open it to start the chat right away.
Leading zeros are removed automatically, because a chat link uses the international form of the number: country code first, then the subscriber number, with no trunk prefix.
Where these links are useful
- A "message us" button on a website or landing page.
- A link in a social media bio, so people can reach you without a form.
- An email signature or invoice footer.
- A QR code for a shop window, menu or business card.
Do not put anything confidential in a pre-filled message that will be published — the text is part of the URL and visible to everyone who sees it.
Frequently asked questions
Is my number sent anywhere?
No. The link is assembled in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type is uploaded, logged or stored on a server.
What is a wa.me link?
It is the standard chat link format: wa.me followed by a phone number in international digits. Opening it starts a conversation with that number.
Can I add a pre-filled message?
Yes. Anything you type in the message field is URL-encoded and appended as a text parameter, so it appears in the input box when the chat opens.
Does the recipient see the pre-filled text automatically?
No. It is placed in the sender's input field. Whoever opens the link still has to press send.
Can I use this link on a website or in a bio?
Yes. It is an ordinary https URL and works in links, buttons, email signatures and QR codes.
